Oh, Good Morning!!!

Ahh, this morning Gracie and the smoke detector were in cahoots to get me out of bed!  Every morning like clockwork Gracie is up and ready to EAT, she stands at my door and whines until I get up and feed her then she goes back to bed.  Well, this morning was no different and I was trying to ignore her and I was doing a great job of ignoring her and then the smoke detector started going off, you know that annoying beep when the battery is dying.  So both Gracie and the smoke detector won and they got me out of bed!  Did I mention that this is all going on at 6:15am?  We should be SLEEPING!!! 

Overkill?

I check my mail about once a week due to the fact that 99.9% of my bills come via my online banking account with Bank of America (always trying to be "green"), so there is really nothing of importance that comes via the mailman.  Well, for a long time now I get tons and tons of junk mail and I never really paid attention to it until this past week and from the looks of it Chase and AT&T are either hurting for business or they have an unbelievable marketing account of endless funds so they can send out promotional items everyday!  ERRRRRR!  I am so sick and tired of getting mail from them every stinking day, so I called them and begged them to make it stop, who knows if I have been successful in getting them to stop sending me junk, so until I notice a decline in the JUNK I receive from them, I will be mailing them my junk mail and see how much they like it. I am simply taking the prepaid envelope that they were so kind to include with their junk and placing all of the junk mail I receive and mailing it back to them.  HA!  Take that Chase and AT&T, now not only are you paying to send it to me now you are paying for me to send it back to you along with all a the other junk I get on a weekly basis!  Ahh, payback is the BEST!

To My Blog!! 

I cannot believe it has been one year since I started "I'm Just Saying"!  I have never been one to keep a journal, so it was a personal goal of mine to maintain my blog and post often in hopes that it would turn into an online journal and I am proud to say that I have accomplished that goal and look forward to another year of blogging and what the next year has in store, hopefully more family fun, baby love, silly stories of Gracie and her antics, random weirdness that I seem to encounter on a regular basis and more!

Hired or Fired?

On Friday I was hired for my first burp cloth job!  Up until Friday I have only been decorating burp cloths for my family, but after showing off some of my handy work one of my coworkers asked me to make her some burp cloths for a baby present that she is sending to her nephew.  So of course this job required a trip to JoAnn's for some little boy fabric and while I was there I could not pass up the cute little girl fabric too! 

Here is some of the new fabric I bought along with supplies to make some bibs!

Does anyone else have this problem?  I am not sure what happened, it looks like something exploded!

Gold Card Member

I am a Starbucks addict, there I said it, it has been a problem for years, I have lived in denial for a long time and some days I think I need an intervention!  The barista's have been telling me for a long time that I need to get a gift card and register it to take advantage of the addicts  frequent drinkers program, but living in denial of my coffee addiction I never did until about two months ago.  Well, since I have yet to hit rock bottom with my addiction (can you tell I have been watching way too much intervention?), I am going to take advantage of this little gold card that came in the mail over the weekend! :) 

iAwesome

This past Christmas I received Apple TV and an ipod touch!  Well, my ipod touch would only work every few days and when it did work it was kind of spotty, so I decided to upgrade!  On Monday, I hit the Apple Store and exchanged my ipod touch for the iphone, did you know that Apple has the BEST customer service?  I have been thinking about the iphone ever since Verizon became a carrier and especially after this past Sunday's afternoon visit from my sister and her excitement over her new iphone, I WAS SOLD!  So, I am now the proud owner of a new toy and iLOVE it!  Don't worry this new toy will be stored up high so little Miss Gracie cannot chew it up, because we all know how she likes to chew phones, bad dog!

Long "Lost" Twin?

    Yesterday I was out running a couple errands and while I was out a girl at the check out counter at JoAnn's looked at me and said "has anyone ever told you that you look like the Doctor from Lost?".  I laughed and said "yes!".  It happens all of the time, random people and a lot of my coworkers tell me that I look like Juliet from Lost.  I sometimes see a resemblance and take it as a compliment.  What do you think?

Green Thumb

My mom and my sister both have green thumbs and I have a black thumb (the thumb of death), they have yards full of flowers and vegetables to prove it.  I have tried planting a few things on my deck and have managed to kill them in a very short period of time.  So, I have found the perfect plant for me!  This plant requires no water, only needs sunlight when it is available, when it is happy it waves it's leaves up and down and the chances of me killing it are slim to none.  Do you think it would be odd if I purchased a couple dozen of these and placed them all around my house and patio?

New Year's Resolution!

    It is now February and I have decided it is time for a new year's resolution!  Yes, typically new year's resolutions occur on January 1st or some time close to the first of the year and I do know that it is February so technically I am a little late to the party, but better late than never!  I am not one to normally make a resolution, a couple of years ago my resolution was to make my bed everyday, well I fell off the wagon by January 12, last year my resolution was to floss my teeth everyday, ya that lasted a day.  Well, it is 2011 and my resolution is to stick to my resolution, lol, kidding!  Actually, my resolution is to refrain from cleaning my house, doing any laundry, absolutely no grocery shopping and no garbage taking outing (like, I would actually ruin a Saturday taking out the garbage!).  I know it is not your typical resolution, but I already go to the gym and I am not giving up my Starbucks habit, so no cleaning is what I have come up with.  Why, you ask?  Because I am tired of spending the entire day doing all of those tedious things mentioned above and I want to get out more, work on new projects, enjoy a day of doing fun things and make the most of my weekends instead of staying home because I need to mop the floor or clean the bathroom.  So there you have it, this will be weekend #2 of my resolution, I will keep you update how it is working out for me!  :)  Now, I am off to go do some laundry and yes, I am one of those neighbors who vacuum's late at night!
