21 Weeks!

Just a little over halfway to due day!  Yesterday we went for our big anatomy scan, it went perfect and Baby Francisco is growing like a weed!   Right off the bat they confirmed that yes indeed he is still a boy, lol, like the genetic tests would say anything different (there was a smidge of hope that he would be a she, but I knew that was practically impossible)!  Baby Boy is measuring in the 91% percentile in size, weighs 1 lbs. and is the size of 22 week 4 day baby.  I have felt him move a little bit but I have an anterior placenta so it is preventing me from feeling a lot.  In the next few weeks I should start to feel him more.   Everything checked out great and we couldn’t be happier.

He has huge feet and it looks like way too many toes, he is going to be a swimmer!

And a quick jump back to the last post about our gender reveal party, I failed to give major kudos to my Mom for all of the time she spent helping me create the decorations for our party, the food prep the day of and for making her amazing potato salad!  To Super Dad for helping with the frame that everyone hung their guesses on, setting up the tables and decorating the tables.  Mr. Pie who helped Super Dad with the table linens, flowers and just in general being super helpful and to the Sheriff who had a list of places he needed to go the day of and got it all done!  And to the clean-up crew, everyone mentioned above plus my sister, nephew and the Sheriff’s Aunt (Tita Beth) and cousin (Jessica) for all of their help!

It's a.....

I started this long drawn out blog post about our gender reveal party and why I wanted to have one but in the end the only thing people want to know is it a boy or a girl?  I would of bet my last dollar that it was a girl, probably because of all of the cute girl things that exist in this world but the universe has other plans for us and we are having a....

I still cannot believe it!

The shock has pretty much worn off and the 50% off at Baby Gap yesterday helped a lot but I am still a tad bit disappointed that we are not having a girl.  I know the minute this little guy is born I will have completely forgotten about ever wanting a girl.  Next Tuesday is our big anatomy scan, it will be good to see his little face now that we know that he is a he!

The moment we found out!

Don't worry, I was crying before we found out the gender, those tears were a build up of weeks of anticipation and months of worry!  If you all remember we had a pretty shitty year before we made it to this moment, this party was kind of like a coming out/letting everyone know that we are back and ready to be social again, so it was only expected that I would be a hot mess.
