Yesterday was our first nine man race aka the Whitey, it went from Dana Point to Laguna Beach and was approximately 20 miles and took us nearly 4 hours to complete! It was crazy, a lot of work, I paddled the whole thing and my teammates did an amazing job. There were moments when it was a little hairy, one change that did not work out and I had to leave two paddlers in the water, we almost hulied probably 20 times, and a moment of extreme hunger where a Cliff bar saved me. I am still soooo tired and sore, my brain is fried so I am going to leave you with this poorly written (wrong facts) article from the OC Register and a shout out to the creators of Tylenol, otherwise I would not be able to move today!
